IEDC Recognizes CROET in Chronicle 

The Community Reuse Organization of East Tennessee (CROET) has been recognized in the prestigious Economic Development Journal.  In the lead article of the Spring 2002 issues entitled CROET, Transforming Government Liabilities into Community Assets, the reindustrialization activities and successes in transforming the former K-25 Uranium Processing Plant to a private sector based brownfield industrial complex are chronicled.  Lawrence Young, President and CEO of CROET is the author. This continues an impressive series of articles and awards received by CROET and it’s partners at the U.S. Department of Energy and Bechtel Jacobs Corporation for the work being done under the auspices of reindustrialization.
